Today Gold Rates In Pakistan Witness A Spike
Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant increase on Tuesday. The price of 24 karat gold per tola surged by Rs. 1,200, reaching Rs. 229,400 compared to the previous day’s price of Rs. 228,200. This jump was reflected in the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold as well, which rose by Rs. 1,029 to Rs. 196,674. The price of 22-karat gold also climbed, with 10 grams reaching Rs. 180,284.
While silver prices remained unchanged, per tola and 10 grams holding steady at Rs. 2,580 and Rs. 2,211.93 respectively, the international gold market also witnessed a slight increase. The global price per ounce rose by $6 to $2,193.
Economic Developments and Gold Market
This rise in gold prices coincides with positive news regarding Pakistan’s economic situation. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Pakistan staff reportedly reached a staff-level agreement on the second and final review under Pakistan’s Stand-By Arrangement. This agreement signifies progress in the country’s economic stabilization program supported by the IMF.
