Then, there was a long gap, and we met again when I was around 14 or 15. We spent a year living together,” he recalled. This reunion was a learning curve for Azaan, offering him insights into professional life and family values. “Reconnecting after such a long time teaches you a lot. You start to see the good in people, especially in close family members,” he explained.
Facing Public Challenges
The challenges of Azaan’s family were magnified by their public image. “Every family faces its own set of issues, but ours were in the public eye because of my parents’ fame. Last year, despite some differences, we made an effort to sort things out and reconnected,” Azaan shared. He confessed to harbouring resentment towards his father for being absent during his formative years. However, with time and maturity, he learned to embrace a more positive outlook, understanding both sides of the story.
Sibling Bonds
Azaan also touched on his relationship with his half-sister, Medina Sami Khan. “I used to feel the absence of a sibling, but now that Medina is here, I enjoy the typical brother-sister relationship, teasing her as older brothers do, even though she’s much younger than my own children,” he said with a smile. This newfound sibling bond has added a new dimension to his life.

Azaan Sami Khan is Adnan Sami’s only child with Zeba Bakhtiar, his first wife. Their marriage lasted three years. Azaan was married to Sophia Bilgrami for a decade, from 2012 to 2022, and they share two children, Ibrahim and Lily.
