Lil Jon Converts To Islam!
Popular American rapper Lil Jon, whose real name is Jonathan H. Smith, has converted to Islam! This adds another big name to the growing list of celebrities who have recently chosen this faith.
Lil Jon is known for his hit songs like “Yeah,” “What You Gon Do,” and “Snap Yo Fingers.” He recently took a major step in his life by officially becoming Muslim.
The rapper took his Shahadah, the declaration of faith in Islam, at a mosque in Los Angeles. He recited it in both Arabic and English. Lil Jon has been interested in meditation for a while, and his search for deeper meaning led him to Islam.
This news comes shortly after American activist and writer Shaun King also embraced Islam.
Lil Jon expressed his gratitude to the Muslim community, thanking his “brothers and sisters” for welcoming him with open arms.
